Meet Coach Joshua Romero – Former Division I Athlete | Complete Player Development Specialist
Coach Joshua Romero is a well-rounded, high-level instructor with a deep background in all aspects of the game. As a former Division I pitcher at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), Josh competed in one of the most competitive conferences in college baseball—the Big West—where he developed elite-level skills in pitching, preparation, and in-game strategy. But his expertise doesn't stop on the mound.
With years of experience as both a player and coach, Coach Romero brings a comprehensive understanding of the game, including pitching, hitting, catching, and defensive fundamentals. He’s worked with athletes at every level—from youth ball to college athletes—helping them sharpen their physical tools while also building the mental resilience it takes to succeed at the next level.
As a pitcher, Josh was known for his ability to command the zone, manage high-pressure situations, and outsmart hitters with a cerebral approach to the game. Off the mound, he developed a deep appreciation for how the entire game fits together—from understanding the mindset of catchers, to recognizing the swing mechanics that give hitters an edge, to mastering the footwork and glove work required in the infield and outfield.
